Privacy policy

The short version: this is a static content site. It doesn't ask you to sign up, and it doesn't collect your account or password. This page lays out the small amount of data we might touch, our cookies, the third parties involved, and your rights.

What kind of site this is

FiatPath is a read-first static content site. You come here to read articles and use a few front-end-only tools. There's no account to create, nothing to log into, and we don't ask for or collect your exchange account, password, fund password, verification codes or recovery phrase. We neither want those nor have any use for them. Any numbers you type into a tool (an estimated amount, a spread) are used in calculations locally in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers.

The minimal data we might touch

Even a static site involves some technical data, which we describe here as a matter of course:

• Server access logs: the server or CDN hosting this site may, as standard practice, record access logs — the time of access, the page requested, the referring page, browser and device type, and a processed IP address. These logs are for keeping the site running and secure, not for identifying you personally.
• Anonymous usage statistics: we may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand rough traffic, looking only at aggregated, anonymous figures. By default, no third-party analytics is installed at present; if we enable it later, we'll update this page.

We don't actively build a user profile that identifies you, and we don't use the above for ad profiling or sell it to anyone.

Cookies

This site uses cookies as little as possible. Where they're used, it's only for basic functionality (for example, remembering whether you've dismissed a notice) — not for cross-site tracking or targeted advertising. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, which generally won't affect reading the site.

Third parties

• Font CDN: this site uses a font service such as Google Fonts to display fonts. When loading fonts, your browser makes a request to that CDN, which may thereby receive technical information such as your IP; this is covered by their own privacy policy.
• Redirecting to Gate: once you click a sign-up or redirect link to Gate, you enter a site operated by Gate. There, Gate's own privacy policy applies, separate from this site — please read it separately.

Your rights

Because this site creates no account and doesn't actively collect information that identifies you, there's usually no "account data of yours" to export or delete. Even so, if you believe we hold data relating to you in some way and want to access, correct or delete it, email [email protected] and we'll verify and handle it within reason. You also have the right to understand how we handle data, and to complain to the relevant regulator in your region.

Children

This site is for adults. It is not aimed at, and does not knowingly provide services to, anyone below the legal age. We don't knowingly collect information from minors. If you're a guardian and notice such a case, please contact us.

Updates

As the site changes (for instance, if we enable an analytics tool or adjust a third-party service), this privacy policy may be updated. When it is, we'll change the date at the bottom of this page. It's worth checking back from time to time. Continuing to use the site means you accept the privacy policy in force at the time.
